Principal Internal Affairs Officer- Physical Security
Purpose of the Job
To assist in the administration and coordination of the Authority security function that ensures security and safety of physical resources and properties.
Major Activities of the Job.
-Ensure successful implementation of Security Policy, Standards, Guidelines and Procedures for maintenance of security of physical resources and assets in the Authority.
-Ensure Security Strategies and Action Plans are effectively implemented.
-Coordinate successful implementation of operational plans on security of physical assets.
-Supervise the outsourced security firms and vendors.
-Ensure that physical assets are properly protected, workplace violence is prevented, and access control systems are up to date and operating.
-Develop, implement and maintain physical assets security processes to reduce security risks, respond to incidents, and limit exposure of operational areas to security risks.
-Monitor Inspection and patrol of vital installations, server rooms, stores and duty stations or posts manned by outsourced security firms.
-Provide professional advice and guidance to staff on physical assets security.
-Assist in carrying out background checks of staff, suspected taxpayers and other third parties in relation to the Authority security breach.
-Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Job Requirements
Qualifications.
-Advanced Diploma or Degree in Law or Business Administration or Public Administration, or Finance, or Strategic Studies or its equivalent from a recognised Institution/University.
-Masters’ Degree in Law or Business Administration, Public Administration, or Finance, or Strategic Studies or its equivalent from a recognised Institution.
-Training in Investigation or Security or Risk Management is an added advantage.
Experience.
-At least five (5) years of relevant work experience

-Liaise with Information and Communication Technology Department on matters relating to security of digital assets and information systems.
-Implement and maintain digital assets security processes to reduce security risks, respond to incidents, and limit operational areas exposure to security risks.
-Inspect and patrol vital installations, server rooms, stores and duty stations or posts manned by outsourced security firms to ensure that installed digital devices are functioning effectively and are secure.
-Coordinate provision of security training to security personnel and sensitise staff on security matters.
-Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Job Requirements
Qualifications.
-Advanced Diploma or Degree in Information and Communications Technology or Computer Science or Software Engineering or Systems Engineering or Electronics Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University.
-Masters’ Degree in Information and Communications Technology or Computer Science or Software Engineering or Systems Engineering or Electronics Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University.
-Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) or Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) or Certified Physical Security Professional (CPSP) is an added advantage.
Experience.
-At least five (5) years of relevant work experience

To assist in the administration and coordination of the security matters in the regions to ensure security of physical and digital resources and properties.
Major Activities of the Job.
Coordinate implementation of Security Policy, Standards, Guidelines and Procedures for maintenance of security of physical and digital resources and assets in the regions.
Monitor implementation of security strategies and actions plans to ensure security of the Authority’s physical and digital assets.
Coordinate, monitor, and prepare report on implementation of operational plans on security of physical and digital assets in the regions.
Monitor the performance of outsourced security firms in the regions.
Work closely with Regional Managers to ensure safety of physical and digital assets.
Liaise with Regional Managers and Human Resources and Administration staff in the regions in identifying requirements for security equipment’s and facilities.

Manager Internal Affairs Officer-Security
Purpose of the Job
-To assist the Head of Internal Affairs Department to oversee, administer, coordinate and ensure corporate security.
-Major Activities of the Job.
-Develop and enforce security policy, standards, guidelines and Procedures.
-Prepare security operational plans and ensure its successful implementation.
-Analyse security risk assessment and report the findings to the Head of department for Management attention.
-Develop, implement and administer incident response and protection programmes for the Authority.
-Manage security personnel and monitor performance of outsourced security firms.
-Provide technical support and devise specific strategies and actions to effectively prevent all kinds of acts that endanger the security of the Authority’s resources.
-Liaise with other departments in conducting security risk assessment in the Authority’s operational areas.
-Enhance good working relationship with state security organs and other stakeholders in security matters.
-Coordinate provision of security training to security personnel and sensitise staff on security matters.
-Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Qualifications.
-Advanced Diploma or Degree in Law or Business Administration or Public Administration, or Finance, or Information Systems or Computer Science or Strategic Studies or its equivalent from a recognised Institution/University
-Masters’ Degree in Law or Business Administration, Public Administration, or Finance, or Information Systems or Computer Science or Strategic Studies or its equivalent from a recognised Institution/University.
